Such a great weekend
Few weeks ago I traveled to see
jaeger_fuchs and
tig_wolf. It was a very nice low key weekend. I brought them an extra server that we decommissioned here at work so their e-comerce sites could not be running on a bigger chunk of iron. Tig seems happy with it :) One thing I could not get over was the fact there was so little gas there. The idea that the US has let the infrastructure of the oil industry get so fragile so that one pipeline or disruption of supply has such ripple affects is almost un-thinkable to someone like myself. Maybe I believe too much in redundancy and contingency planing. The trip despite being keep closer to their home then originally planed was very nice and relaxing, the scenery in their neck of the woods is very nice and much different then flat WI.
This past weekend I was in Chi., I sure like that city. I hung w/ some friends on Fri night and went out to one of my fav bars. Sat I started by haning w/ dexcat and he showed me how to use Adobe Lightroom, I think I found my new photo editing and organizing program. It takes some of the very nice graphical ways iPhoto deals w/ organizing and kicks it up more then a few degrees. It has amazing ability to edit RAW files as well. Dex and I then went to Fermilab to take some photos. We only got kicked out of one area so not all bad :) (i am not use to having to look out for security ;) I am such a goodie goodie). Later we connected w/ the softball group and then
huskydoggeh joined Dex and I for some shopping and dinner. The party later was NUTS! I loved it! I then went back to
invncble to crash, thank you so much. Sunday was nice and low key, did a bit of walking and hanging out w/ huskydoggeh & invncble. We then went to watch invncble play some hockey. It was fun to say the least though the other team had one very energetic/vocal (drunk?) fan.
Thanks again everyone for making this such a fun and enjoyable weekend.
